Trout Creek Hops is located in the Yampa Valley just west of Steamboat near the confluence of the Yampa River and Trout Creek. I have approximately 75 hop plants dating back to 2016. I grow Cascade, Willamette and Nugget varieties. During April/May we collect rhizomes from the mature plants and in early September the cones are harvested. In the fall we will have fresh hops that can be used in beer making and will dry the hop cones for storage. Hops are not just for beer! They can be used in a variety of food and beverages or just as an ornamental plant in your garden.

The hop plants are fertilized in the spring with a commercial fertilizer and compost added in the fall.
