Growing in Steamboat Springs, CO in two unheated high tunnels and outdoor beds with no synthetic additives or chemicals..just some chicken helpers.
I often have excess greens and root vegetables as I use it as a live under crop in the greenhouse. It helps keep things cooler to have the ground covered and improves soil health organically. In the winter the chickens free range in the greenhouse and work on turning up the compost pile.
