Mark Berkley first began experimenting with growing microgreens after being told that beef and feed were the only things you could successfully produce in the Colorado mountains. His small project quickly grew from just supplying for family and friends to a full time business. Today, Innovative Ag operates from one location in Steamboat and delivers fresh produce weekly to 80% of the restaurants in Steamboat Springs as well as customers of the Community Ag Alliance. In 2016, Alex King joined the Innovative Ag partnership and team by taking over the microgreen projects so Mark could focus on the mushroom growing projects.
